FAQ: Do You Ship and Install Blast Rooms Outside the US?
Short answer: Yes!
We’ll pretty much install a blast room in any country – unless the US State Department has issued travel warnings or other advisories.
If your company is located outside the United States, and you’re considering a Titan Abrasive blast room, here are a few particulars you should know.
Shipping to Europe, Africa, Central or South America, etc.
All blast room components are carefully packed into a 40’ or 53’ shipping container and then transported by ocean freighter, as this is the most efficient option. At the destination country, the container is then trucked to the install location.
Ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations
Titan complies with all US codes, which are more stringent than in other countries, and include air quality, ducting, etc. If a country has a specific code or regulation, we’ll address that on an individual basis with you to ensure all codes are met.
For example, we recently installed a large blast room for the US Air Force in Guam. The room had to be engineered to withstand a typhoon; the design included a lot of additional structural I-beams.
We don’t use any electrical components containing restricted substances, so all Titan equipment is ROHS compliant.
Dealing with unexpected country-specific installation issues
We haven’t yet run into any country-specific challenge while on-site. Installing a blast room, no matter the country, is pretty standard. However, if we did learn of a country-specific issue during installation, we would work with you and local officials to ensure compliance.
We get in, get it done, and get out
While the install guys would give a huge cheer if we installed a blast room in an exotic locale, once we arrive, we don’t take time to see the local sights. We’re there for one reason, and that’s to get the job done.
We work long days to get the blast room installation done as quickly as possible in order to minimize the impact and downtime to you and your operation.
If you’re considering a Titan blast room and have questions about on-site installation, please contact us. We’re happy to answer your questions.
